The Sailor

This charcoal drawing, created 15 years ago, still brings joy to the artist. It captures Brooke, whom the artist met at The Independent Grocer. For two years, Brooke lived on a tugboat powered by old chip wagon fry oil, which he meticulously cleaned and strained to run the diesel engine. A man of many talents, he fixes boats, practices woodworking, plays the guitar, and tells unforgettable stories.
